Terms & Conditions
Last updated 31 October 2026
These terms explain how SwiftPass works for customers, organisers, venues and partners, and what each party is responsible for.
1. About these terms
These Terms & Conditions govern your use of SwiftPass, a ticketing and venue-booking platform. By creating an account, buying a ticket, booking a venue or listing an event, you accept these terms.
If you use SwiftPass on behalf of a business or organisation, you confirm you have authority to accept these terms for it.
2. Accounts
- You must provide accurate information and keep your login details secure.
- You must be at least 18 years old to create an account, list an event or list a venue.
- You are responsible for all activity that happens under your account.
- We may suspend an account that breaches these terms, commits fraud, or repeatedly breaks platform policies.
3. Buying tickets
- A ticket is a licence to attend the event on the terms set by the organiser, not a transferable property right.
- Your order is confirmed only when payment is verified and the ticket is issued to your email address.
- Ticket prices, fees and totals are shown before you pay. Payment is processed by our payment partner, Paystack.
- The organiser is responsible for the event itself — its description, scheduling, admission and conduct.
- Transferring a ticket is only allowed where the organiser has enabled it and before the transfer deadline.
4. Platform fees
SwiftPass charges a service fee that is added to the customer's total, so organisers and venues receive the full price they set.
- Event tickets: 5% of the ticket price plus ₦150 per paid ticket.
- Venue bookings: 15% of the venue price plus ₦500 per booking.
- Fees are displayed to the customer before payment and are non-refundable except where an event is cancelled or the platform is at fault.
5. Listing events and venues
- You may only list events and venues you are authorised to sell or rent.
- Event details, capacities, ticket categories, policies and pricing must be accurate and kept up to date.
- You must hold any licence, permit, insurance or safety approval the event or venue requires.
- Events marked 18+ must be genuinely restricted, and age verification must be enforced at the door.
- We may review, reject, pause or remove listings that breach these terms or applicable law.
6. Payments and payouts
- Payments are collected by our payment partner and split between the organiser, the venue (where a split applies) and SwiftPass.
- Payouts are made to the verified bank account linked to your payout profile, on the settlement schedule shown in your dashboard.
- We may hold or reverse a payout where a chargeback, fraud investigation, refund obligation or verification failure occurs.
- You are responsible for any tax due on your sales.
7. Refunds and cancellations
Refunds are governed by the Refund Policy, which forms part of these terms. The event-level refund policy set by the organiser also applies, provided it does not conflict with the Refund Policy or applicable law.
8. Acceptable use
- Do not attempt to access another person's account, tickets or data.
- Do not use bots, scrapers or automated tools to buy tickets in bulk or to resell tickets outside SwiftPass.
- Do not upload unlawful, misleading, hateful or infringing content.
- Do not interfere with the security or availability of the platform.
9. AI assistant (Oba)
Oba is an AI assistant that offers event planning guidance, creative direction and platform help. Its recommendations are suggestions, and AI-generated visuals are concept inspiration only — not architectural plans, venue renderings or confirmed availability.
Always verify prices, availability, dates and policies on the event or venue page before paying. Oba cannot publish events, issue refunds, take payments or confirm bookings on your behalf.
10. Liability
SwiftPass provides the platform that connects organisers, venues and customers. We are not the organiser or venue operator and are not responsible for the delivery of an event or for the condition of a venue.
To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the platform is limited to the SwiftPass service fee you paid for the transaction in question.
11. Changes and governing law
We may update these terms as the platform evolves. Material changes will be communicated before they take effect.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
